I bet this bread tastes delicious and smells great!
thanks for sharing, I made this tonight and had it with a yummy lentil soup. it was delicious and smelled devine the whole time cooking.
I used extra virgin olive instead of butter and honey instead of sugar. and the flour I used was 2c of white spelt and 1c of my standard bread flour mix, which is equal parts rye, rice, buckwheat and wholemeal spelt. It was still nice and light and think next time I could even get away with half white spelt and half my bread mix without it being too dense.
I agree more herb wouldnt go astray, I used thyme, oregano and tarragon. some pamersan cheese grated into the mix would be tasty too I reckon..
Im going to try the fruit loaf next..
Glad you liked it, Rach! And thanks for letting me know the changes you made. I am still really new to bread making and I have been wondering about substitutions to make to make breads healthier, etc. I will definitely try the honey and a whole wheat/grain flour next time around!
