Jamaican Jerk Shrimp a la Blanchard's

Comments

yay! I am so glad you liked it. Happy Anniversary :)
Isn't Jerk marinade "da bomb"? I know, just know this is gonna be your break-out year for seafood!
Oooooo that shrimp looks awsome. I wish I could just pick one out of this screen.
I LOVE Blanchard's! I haven't been to the restaurant but I love their cookbook---do you have it? And I loved reading their book--A Trip to the Beach---a great read.

Congratulations on your 2nd anniversary Elly. I've never cooked a "jerk" type recipe before. Love the flavours. SO where's the punch?

Happy anniversary to you and Tom! Shrimp looks awesome but an easy pasta night sounds divine.
That jerk shrimp looks really good!! Bookmarked! Happy anniversary!

Thanks, Lindsey and thanks for pointing me in the direction of the recipe!

Peter, you really are trying to bring me over to "the dark side," aren't you? Haha.

Thanks Moogoo!

Emily, I don't have the cookbook. Do you like it? I bet it's great. I wish I could eat their food again, without having to cook it myself. :)

Peter G, the punch comes from the cayenne and the habanero (which I believe...or at least I've heard...are the spiciest peppers out there).

Enjoy your jerk, Ruth!

Thanks, Julie!

Thanks Kevin! I hope you like the shrimp when you make it. I'm sure you will!

I really love the cookbook. My favorite is that they have "in a hurry" sections where they give really awesome marinades for meats, fish, etc...
Sounds like a delicious way to celebrate your anniversary!!

Hi Elly, I'm back after a few hours as I had to leave earlier and wanted to give you my wishes on your name day but I didn't have time to read your post.

Cool, Emily. I will definitely check it out!

Thanks Val :)

Thanks, Ivy! I will take the wishes, even though it's not actually my name day. I am just a plain old Elly, not an Eleni :)
